What are you doing with your one and only life?
Are you:
- Looking for hope?
- …significance and meaning?
- Setting new goals?
- Looking for more from life?
- …from your career?
- Do you have a vision for your life?
- …for your business?
- In the morning, do you look forward to your day?
Jesus once said of his followers: “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (ASV)
Are you living an abundant life? Not a busy life, but an abundant life. What exactly is an abundant life?
Ten years ago I was living the life I’d dreamed of since I was a small child: Running the maintenance and operations of a center of high-technology, the Vandenberg Air Force Base Weather Station. I was up for the promotion of a lifetime to a NASA and JPL contract. All my career dreams were coming true.
Then a boat ran me over in a swim area near Santa Barbara, California. The propeller “essentially cut” me “in half.” I was permanently disabled. My manager told me “You need to re-invent yourself.” I eventually returned to the ocean and began spearfishing once more. The weightlessness greatly reduced my pain. I’ve taught over thirty others to free-dive. Many of these were “going through stuff.” I walked through their stuff with them. At the suggestion of my friend Ron Hall, MFT and Pastor of Encouragement at Christ’s Church of the Valley in San Dimas, California; I trained with the American Association of Christian Counselors in Life Coaching. I also trained with an International Coach Federation certified course with The Christian Coach, Tony Husted, and am working on my hours towards the ICF’s ACC designation.
I’ve coached and consulted with individuals and organizations alike. I’ve developed tools that have been well received in the coaching community. These tools are currently available here on my site for free. Further tools are in development/refinement.
In the same way that I discovered a new passion for life, I hope that through these tools and my future blogs on Inspiration, Motivation and Achievement; you and/or your organization can find new meaning and purpose to live the abundant life, or what I call The Incredible Life.™
Thanks and Welcome to my blog!
